Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is a Grammy Award Winning English singer-songwriter coming from Enfield, North London. Adele's debut album, 19, was launched in January 2008 and entered the united kingdom album chart at No.1. The album 21 has since acquired four Platinum recognition with regard to domestic product sales going above 1,200,000 units. The album added the massively popular track, Chasing Pavements. 19 earned Adele two Grammy Awards in February 2009 for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Adele launched her second album 21 on 24 January 2011 in the United Kingdom, and 22 February in America.The album was well accepted critically and skyrocketed Adele to record breaking results, selling 200,000 copies in the first week in the UK and debuting at # 1 on the United kingdom Albums Chart, a position it was able to maintain for 112 days. In the United Kingdom, 21 is certified 10 times platinum for shipment of 3 million units. Adele's 21 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in the US, selling just over 350,000 copies in the first week itself. The album has charted at number one in 17 countries, including several charts across Europe, Australia and the United States.
Adele managed to graduate from BRIT School in Croydon in May 2006, where she was friends with Leona Lewis. Adele credits the school and the teachers with nurturing her talent. In school, she was more interested in commencing A&R, and hoped to launch other people’s careers. Few months later, she published two tracks on the fourth publication of the online arts publication PlatformsMagazine.
